Dr. Ion TĂNĂSESCU, senior researcher I, coordinator of the Department of the History of Ideas at the Romanian Academy’s Institute of Philosophy and Psychology Constantin Rădulescu-Motru (2011) and interim director (02.-05.2021) of the same institute; project director at the Romanian Society for Phenomenology (2011-2019). Doctor in philosophy with a thesis on Brentano’s intentionality (1998), member in the editorial board of the collection „Studii de istoria filosofiei universale” and of the journals „Revista de filosofie” (EBSCO indexed) and „Revue roumaine de philosophie” (Clarivate indexed); Ratio. Jahrbuch für Europäische Philosophie und Gesellschaftslehre and Brentano and the Aristotelian Tradition – International Journal. Awarded scholarships: DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst, NEC (New Europe College) and FWF Lise-Meitner (Fonds zur Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Forschung). The award Mircea Florian of the Romanian Academy (2013) for the book Fiinţă şi reprezentare a fanteziei la Franz Brentano, (Being and phantasy presentation by Franz Brentano, 2011). Areas of interest: late 19th century and early 20th century metaphysics and philosophical psychology, 19th century Aristotelianism, the history of philosophy generally and the philosophy of the history of philosophy.
